There was a definite Disney theme to this year’s Children’s Carnival. The Tony Diprose Cup went to Craig & Trudi Whittock with Ghost Ship. Magnum CC took the Butler & Tanner Cup with Robbery at the Old Casino; The Chuckles CC Cup was awarded to Enspired for their Spirit of the Hawk walking group; Quackers CC won best Wessex circuit entry with Garden of Evil. One of the highlights was Mayor Pippa Goldfinger sitting on an electric chair and being fanned by scantily clad, gold painted men from SATCO with the Goldfinger theme tune blaring away.
