This year the afternoon was a bit wet but the evening stayed dry. In the Children’s Carnival the Stacey Cup was won by Lily Langley with Enchantress of Numbers; The Deans Schools Cup was awarded to Pepperbox Nursery with We Are On Safari; The Scarab Cup went to Streets CC with Hair-Up. The evening saw Kipling CC taking the Butler & Tanner Cup with their Hillbilly Joe’s Live Country Music; Magnum CC won several cups with Flamenco Fiesta. There was a slight hold up in the evening procession as an ambulance rushed to an incident in the town centre but it was quickly sorted by the officials.
