Brilliant sunshine and unseasonable warmth greeted all the participants with Rachel Clark starting the afternoon procession running the one mile as part of her 365 miles for WHY challenge. Many children joined her, enjoying their effort in front of the crowds. Lily Street won the Stacey Cup with Lathyrus the Fairy; the Scarab Cup went to Cheeky Monkeys with Poppy & Branch. The evening saw joint winners for the Butler & Tanner Cup with Kipling CC - Blue Smoke and Cary Comedians - Klingons from Uranus, both sharing. The Staplemead Cup was awarded to ABCCC with Olde Lay Hee Ho and the Spirit of Carnival Cup winner was Karen Knapp with Circus Fantastic.
