Although a break in the rain allowed a respite for the Children’s Parade, later the heavens opened with claps of thunder and lightning during the prize giving ceremony. The Tony Diprose Trophy was awarded to the Twohig and Welsh families for their Millennium Bug.  The evening was fine and the crowd was overawed by Hot Rock CC’s Voodoo Poison which won three awards. SATCO masqueraders danced their way through the procession causing great hilarity.
