Unfortunately, the Children’s procession was marred with lashing rain, but this held off for the evening procession. The crowds were entertained with the antics of the Katch-em Kwick Kops, which provided unheard of lessons in motor engineering and gymnastics! Standing stops at 30mph seemed to be the order of the day and what came away from underneath the old Austin car was really nobody’s business. Somehow, despite all the extra pieces which fell away the car seemed to function. The Jennings cup this year was won by Express Dairy’s Sports Club entry Magic Roundabout.
