Carnival Entries
1966
Extract from the Somerset Standard
Due to apathy, there was no Carnival in 1965 but 1966 saw record crowds, with street collections totalling more than £350 plus £165 raised from entry to Jennings Fun Fair. JW Singer & Sons Sports and Social Club once again won the coveted Jennings Cup with their Stately Bones of England – a skit on the Longleat lions.
