Carnival parades on Saturday provided Frome with a vivid array of spectacle enjoyed by thousands of people who lined the streets. A gas leak scare meant some delays with floats having to negotiate a hole in the road being dug during the evening procession. Frome Colts CC won Butler & Tanner’s Social Club Trophy and the Beswick Cup with its Winter Playtime float. Airsprung CC came first in the tableau section with Spirit of the North.
