Rain affected the Children’s Carnival and a downpour delayed the start of the evening procession sending competitors and bands scattering for shelter. But most of the entries bravely joined the procession and Venture Carpets Sports and Social Club won the Jennings Cup with their outstanding entry Deep Sea Fantasy – Neptune’s Grotto.
