Saturday remained fine and the mile long procession wound its way from the Agricultural Ground down North Parade, through the town centre into King Street, Church Street, Vicarage Street, Christchurch Street East, Gorehedge, Butts Hill, Somerset Road, Weymouth Road, Christchurch Street West, Bath Street and back to the Market Place, before returning to the start point. The Jennings Cup was awarded to Express Dairy’s Cleopatra’s Barge. Oakfield School celebrated their 40 year anniversary with their 1930’s style interpretation of a schoolroom.
